I currently live in Paris, working on my PhD at LIP6. I'm working on using Reinforcement learning for Feature Selection in supervised learning problems.
My sport of choice is fencing, and I've been doing it competitively since about 2002. I played Rugby for a bit in College but I'd be the first to admit I'm not very good (but I enjoy the running around!).
I grew up near Boston, MA and graduated from a good U.S. Public High-School. I then did an extra year at a French High-School near Boston to get my French Baccalaureat.
I came to France for university at INSA
Lyon, where I specialised in Software Engineering, and graduated with an Ms.Eng. in
September 2010.
While there, I did a lot of cool things such as experimental rocketry and helping out at the Karnaval Humanitaire.
I also did a couple stints abroad:
I spent a month interning at a valve & regulator company in Shanghai.
Summer of 2008 I interned at Yahoo! in Sunnyvale, CA.
Fall 2009 I did a semester abroad at IIT Madras in Chennai, India.
And now I'm in Paris for a while...
